Welfare Committee
Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Centre, tries to cultivate student’s mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, cultural growth, social needs with various activities to develop their overall personality and to make them educated citizens to compete in the globalized world. Student Development cell consist of different committees which are committed to provide programs and opportunities that support students in achieving their overall development. Considering various carrier options available to the students and different inputs required to be given to them along with academic program various student development activities has been developed at Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Centre. Various personal and professional skill development programs viz. Foreign Language Certification Courses, Communication and Soft Skill programs, Aptitude Training, Technical Skill enhancement programs, Personal and Spiritual Development Programs, Entrepreneurship Development Activities, and Preparation courses for competitive Examinations (GATE/GRE/CAT/MPSC/UPSC etc.) are made available on campus through various professional agencies.
The Cell is also cultural in providing platform to the students to nurture and showcase their talents through Arts, games and club etc. The social commitment is take in students organized through various activities like Blood Donation Camp, Tree Plantation, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan etc. Students are given opportunities to develop and cultivate their leadership qualities through Student Associations like CESA, MESA, ASET, PINACLE, EESA, ACUMEN etc. Student Council working as volunteers in various events organized at Department/college level.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To process nomination on “Student Council” as per the norms of SPPU.
- To ensure proper follow up of the college rules and regulations including college uniform.
- To plan and monitor the various student development/welfare activities, schemes for benefits to the students.
- To ensure provision and upkeepment of essential infrastructure and other essential facilities to all students of college including health, hygiene and safety.
- To make students aware of various scholarships, financial support schemes of State government, SPPU and other funding agencies. (K.B.P. Earn & Learn scheme)
- To ensure proper functioning of the student development committee, utilization of student welfare fund.
- To take adequate measures to ensure and maintain student discipline. Necessary vigilance and control to curb any matters, incidences of indiscipline, misbehavior, ragging. Handle matters of such incidences if any and suggest suitable disciplinary measures/actions. (Anti Ragging Cell)
- To handle student grievances and suggest remedial measures. (Student Grievance & Redressal Cell)
- Felicitation of students in recognition of their distinguished achievements, performance.
- To put up “Help desk” for new entrants (FE and direct SE admissions) during admission process and initial induction days after commencement of classes.
