Matoshri College of Engineering & Research Centre was established in the year 2008 in rural area at Eklahare near Odhagaon under the Matoshri Education Society, Yeola . The matoshri education Society has been established in a year 2007 as per the Mahrashtra Trust Act 1950. The visionary leaders Hon. Naredrabhau Darade and Hon. Kishorbhau Darade are the founders of the Matoshri Education Society with the motto to provide the education for the masses, afflicted and downtroddens. The society runs almost all teaching disciplines to serve the society. The society has established the educational hub at Yeola as well as at Eklahare, Nashik. In Nashik campus most of the professional institutes have been established. Young and dynamic secretary Er. Kunalbhau Darade has played the major role in developing the Nashik campus. Full hearted and consistent support of the management has evolved the campus with the name and fame within a short time span.

The core objective of the Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Centre, Eklahare is to provide the quality technical education for the masses to uplift the living standard of the society. Institute offers seven UG programmes, five PG programmes, and has three research centers (Ph.D.). These programmes are approved by All India Council Of Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. It has recognition of 2(F)/12(B) from University Grant Commission (UGC).

All undergraduate eligible programmes have secured permanent affiliation from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and institute is NAAC accredited.

The institute provides all the services and facilities for all-round development of the learners. Further the institute provides assistance to the economically weaker section of the society like Government Scholarship and Free ship, Minority Scholarship, Earn and Learn scheme of university and Matoshri Scholarship.

To create social awareness among students, the NSS unit has been actively participating in social activities and community services and institute motivates students to become a cadet of NCC.
