Student's Council

The role of the Students’ Council is to coordinate and regulate all the aspects of student’s life at Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Centre, Nashik. The Students’ Council is formed as per the section 99(3) of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.

• To foster and promote all student activities in the Institute.
• To promote and encourage the involvement of students in organizing Institute activities.
• To identify and solve the problems encountered by students in the Institute.
• To organize educational and recreational activities for students.
• To communicate the students’ opinion to the Institute administration on any subject that concerns them.

The College Students' Council shall consist of the following members

• President, elected by an electoral college consisting of students who are engaged in full time studies in the college;
• Secretary, elected by an electoral college consisting of students who are engaged in full time studies in the college;
• One lady representative, elected by an electoral college consisting of students who are engaged in full time studies in the college;
• One representative belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or De-notified Tribes (Vimukta-Jatis) or Nomadic Tribes or Other Backward Classes, by rotation, elected by an electoral college consisting of students who are engaged in full time studies in the college:
• One student each from National Service Scheme, Sports and Cultural activities, nominated by the Principal.
• One senior teacher as coordinator of the Students' Council appointed by the principal of the college and Director, Sports and NSS Programme Officer as permanent invitees.
