Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering department of Matoshri College of Engineering came into existence in 2009. The department offers four years undergraduate programme with intake of 120, two years postgraduate programme with intake of 24 in Mechanical Engineering.

Head of the department, Professor Dr. Jayant H. Bhangale has 24 years of teaching and industrial experience.

The department has been evolved as centre of excellence in offering impeccable, market savvy graduates to emerge as total solution providers. The Department is known for the Expertise and State-of-the-art facilities especially in CAD-CAM, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Manufacturing and Production Technology, Energy Conversion, I. C. Engines, Mechatronics and interdisciplinary areas.

The students actively involved in various reputed contests of national and international repute like ROBOCON, Tech Fest, and technical competitions in various colleges. Students are also given exposure to cutting edge technologies through organizations such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, MESA and IIME.

Department has strong industrial interaction to provide platform for industrial visits, expert talk, industry sponsored projects, internship and for placement of students. Major industries that employ mechanical engineers include Defense Services, DRDO, ISRO, Automobiles, space research, aeronautical, railways, energy and utilities, refrigeration and air conditioning, bio-mechanical industry, oil and gas exploration and refining industries and the agricultural sector.

In the government sector like civil services, engineering services, Mechanical engineers can provide their knowledge to various government run projects in the role of technical experts and consultants.
