Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is established in the year 2009. Department is Accredited by NBA in the year 2023. The department offers a four-year undergraduate program with an intake of 120 students, a two-year M.Tech. Program in Mechanical (Heat Power Engineering) with an intake of 12 students. The department has also recognized as PhD Research Centre (Mechanical Engineering) of SPPU.

The department is well-equipped with laboratories and has well-qualified and dedicated faculty members. We impart quality engineering education through sound theoretical knowledge, hands-on laboratory as well as computational skill. The department has strong industrial interaction to provide platform for industrial visits, expert talk, and industry sponsored projects and internship. Our focus extends beyond academics to nurturing responsible engineers who can contribute meaningfully to society and address real-world engineering challenges.

The Head of the Department, Dr. D. D. Palande, has been associated with Engineering Education since 2000. With over 25 years of academic and professional experience, he has made significant contributions to teaching, research, curriculum development, and academic administration.
