Master of Computer Application

The Department of MCA at Matoshri College of Engineering and Research Centre, Nashik, is a pioneering department established in 2023. It offers a two-year postgraduate program with an intake of 60 students starting from the academic year 2023-24.

The curriculum is revised every four years to keep pace with technological advancements and global industrial requirements. It integrates basic science and mathematics courses, core and advanced domain courses, elective courses tailored to students' interests, audit courses, communication skills development, and project work.

Prof. Mrs. Apeksha R. Gawande, the Head of the Department, has been associated with MCA education since August 2001 and brings 14 years of teaching experience. She is a respected academician with extensive experience in education and academic administration, and she is a member of various MCA educator groups.

The department boasts well-furnished laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software resources, as well as modern classrooms, a department library, and faculty rooms.

With a mix of experienced and young faculty, the department emphasizes knowledge impartation, skill-building, and student mentorship for overall development, including moral and ethical values. The department has a commendable track record of student placements in the industry.

An active student club provides a platform for students to engage in various activities and showcase their talents. Students are encouraged to organize and participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities, such as expert talks, technical events, contests, seminars, workshops, industry visits, and social visits. These activities, guided by faculty, help cultivate leadership skills, team spirit, and a cooperative nature, teaching students many aspects of management.

The department is continuously working towards the all-around development of its students in line with the guidelines of its affiliated university, Savitribai Phule Pune University. It strives to achieve its vision and mission statements, contributing to the attainment of the institute's vision.
