Reading Room Facility:-

The Central Library of institute has provision of spacious reading room for 200 students which offers very peaceful ambience for students. It remains open normally from 8.00am to 11.00pm and during exam period library timing is from 8.00am to 11.00pm.

Along with this library offers following facilities:-
  • Open access facility to all users.
  • Home lending of books using DELPlus software which has the facility of decrypting the barcode.
  • Book Bank facility for SC/ST students.
  • OPAC facility.
  • Separate digital library equipped with 27 Nos. of computer with internet and Intranet facilities.
  • Reprographic facility
  • Identity Card printing facility
  • Scanning facility
  • NPTEL videos facility
  • Wi-Fi facility
Circulation, Membership and Duration Period:-

All the Students, Faculty members and Staff of the Institute are entitled for the membership of library. The details of membership, allowed number of books for issue and loan period are given below:

Access to E-books:-

Almost all students possess smart phones/laptops/desktops/tabs. The techno-savvy learners always show the preference in accessing the learning resources available on the web. The rich set of eBooks is available in the library. The students can access these books via accessing the link provided on the institute’s web- portal. Students can also access these eBooks in the digital library available in the central library

Support for Self Learning:-

For the self learning adequate resources are available such as; rich set of e-books in Library which includes Reference books and Text books. E-resources access to DELNET, NDL and remote access to SPPU’s Jayakar library Knowledge Resource Centre, Competitive exam preparation, Daily Newspapers, MOOC’s (Massive Open Online Courses) related to Curriculum and beyond the curriculum is provided via the links on the Institute’s web portal. Reading room with ambience adds to the facilities for self learning.
