About ACM:
ACM (Association for Computer Machinery) is the largest worldwide community designated for computing educators, researchers, and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field's challenges. The purpose of this Society is to elevate awareness of computing technical growth towards technical, educational and social issues around the world.
Matoshri ACM Student Chapter (MASC):
Matoshri ACM Student Chapter (MASC) a student chapter organization subsidiary of Association of Computer Machinery (ACM), established in the year of 2023. MASC consists of highly motivated student members ready to learn and showcase their innovative, creative ideas through various activities. This chapter has an ambition of advancement in Computing Science and Engineering to critical research and develop personal networking systems.
Goal of MASC:
- To nurture the students by organizing the technical, non-technical and social activities.
- To provide the platform to represent their qualities.
- To motivate co-curricular activities amongst the members.

PROJECT PARADIGM 2K24 - Project Based Learning Competition
Department of Computer Engineering in association with Pinnacle club and Matoshri ACM Student Chapter, MCERC, Nashik has organized a project competition “PROJECT PARADIGM - 2K24” on 25th April, 2024.
Details: The evaluators were from Netleap IT training & Solutions, Nashik, who evaluated and judged the project made by second year computer engineering students during project based learning sessions on the basis of implementation, innovation, future scopes, technical complexity, functionality, quality of implementation, presentation.

Industrial visit at LogicBits Systems Pvt. Ltd., Bhosari, Pune
Department of Computer Engineering in association with Matoshri ACM Student Chapter organized an industrial visit at LogicBits Systems Pvt. Ltd., Bhosari, Pune on 20th April 2024. Students understood various aspects (viz. financial, administration, team work) concerning the new startup. They got the knowledge about the industry requirements, modern tools and techniques used in the software industry.

Guest 1: Anushka Patil, M.A. Clinical Psychology, Executive – Outreach & Content, Mpower – Mumbai. Guest 2: Mihika Palshetkar, M.A Clinical Psychology, Associate- Oorja Outreach & Content, Mpower, Mumbai. It helped students develop skills to create a safe and conducive environment for their peers to discuss mental health issues openly and seek early intervention, where necessary.

Historical Visit at Gondeshwar Temple
Department of Computer Engineering in association with Matoshri ACM Student Chapter organized a historical visit at Gondeshwar Temple, Sinnar on 09- 03-2024. This temple is an 11th-12th century Hindu temple located in Sinnar, a town in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, India. It features a Panchayatana plan; with a main shrine dedicated to God Shiva; and four subsidiary shrines dedicated to God Surya, God Vishnu, Goddess Parvati, and God Ganesha.

Big Buddy Program
Department of Computer Engineering and Matoshri ACM student Chapter has organized a Big Buddy program. Our students conducted various activities viz. teaching of various subjects, drawing, coloring, handcrafts, mind refreshment and brainstorming activity and some games for school students from Class I to Class X. School students enjoyed the activities. In this program our second year students got knowledge about various aspects of teaching, administration, and some change in the lives of the young students they mentor as buddies or big brother. Students learnt to be accountable as social contributors. Students got appreciation and respect towards the responsibility of teaching. The details of activity are mentioned below. International Conference On Contents, Computing & Communication
International conference on contents, computing and communication has organized by the Department of Computer Engineering, MCOERC Nashik in association with Matoshri ACM student chapter, Nashik on 20/10/2023 to 21/10/2023. Total 55 papers are selected from various regions of India and other countries for various tracks. In this occasion, Dr. G. K. Kharate, Principal, MCOERC, Dr. Varsha Patil,Vice Principal and Head of Computer Department, Dr. Bhushan Garware chief guest and All Head of the department, MCOERC were present for inauguration ceremony. Brief introduction about ICCCC-2023 was delivered by Dr. Swati A. Bhavsar, Convenor, ICCCC- 2023. Keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Bhushan Garware on OpenAi. Every track of conference judged by the renowned persons. This conference was organized by Dr. Ranjit Gawande, Co convenor, Dr. Swati A. De-addiction guidance camp
Department of Computer Engineering in association with Pinnacle club and Matoshri ACM Student Chapter, has organized “De-addiction guidance camp” on 26th August 2023. Around 110 faculty members and students from various colleges of Matoshri Education Society, Nashik attended this event. As many young people in Maharashtra are addicted, with this mind, this camp became a platform to discuss the different issues of addictions and its solution. The camp included de-addiction guidance as well as proper advice and treatment. It was accessible to the general public through our faculty members and students. Dr. Rajan Patil, founder of Sisode Health Care conducted the camp. In this view, Dr. G. K. Kharate, Principal, MCOERC, Nashik, Dr. Varsha Patil, Vice Principal & Head of Computer Department, Dr. Sanjay Bagul, Principal, M.A.Polytechnic, Dr. Yogesh Gosavi, Director, Matoshri MBA, Dr. Gokul Talele, Principal, MCOP, Vaishali Suryawanshi, Principal, B.E.D College, were present.

Welcome Function for Second Year Computer Engineering students

Around 109 SE students were attended this event. During this function students are welcomed and video of Details and journey of Department of Computer Engineering was shown. At the end of the function breakfast was distributed among the students.

Logo Design Competition
Department of computer Engineering MCOERC in Association with Matoshri ACM student Chapter has organized the logo design competition. Around 40 students participated in the event. Dr. Geetanjali Kale · Head & Associate Professor, Department of Computer Engineering judged the event. As a result, unique design is selected for the MASC's logo. Mr. Hemraj Jadhav and Mr. Rushikesh Malode secured first and second prize respectively. Principal Dr. G. k. Kharate and Head & Vice Principal Dr. V. H. Patil felicitated the winners.

PoSH (Prevention of sexual harassment) act and Safe Workplaces
Department of Computer Engineering in association with association with Pinnacle club and Matoshri ACM Student Chapter, women's grievance redressal cell and Anti sexual harassment cell, MCERC, Nashik has PoSH (Prevention of sexual harassment) act and Safe Workplaces on 22nd July 2023. Around 100 faculty members and students from various colleges of Matoshri education Society, Nashik were attended this event. It was a monologue and addressed the crucial topic of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (PoSH) and its significance in safeguarding women's rights. The Act is designed to create a safe and inclusive environment for women in various spheres of life was the focal point of the discussion. In this view, Dr. G. K. Around 60 students participated in this competition. Winners are rewarded with certificate and cash prizes.

Visit to “The BAAP Company, Sangamner”
Department of Computer Engineering in association with association with Pinnacle club and Matoshri ACM Student Chapter, MCERC, Nashik has organized visit to “The BAAP Company, Sangamner” on 25th April 2023. In this visit students got the knowledge about Indian start-up aspects; also understood about how to use the modern tools and technology used in the software industry. Students were learned about different strategies required to execute the project and also discussed the IoT and Web based techniques used to resolve the societal issues.

Visit to “Dilasa Care Center”, Nashik
Department of Computer Engineering in association with association with Pinnacle club and Matoshri ACM Student Chapter, MCERC, Nashik has organized visit to “Dilasa Care Center”, Nashik on 19th April 2023. Second year students were visited the center. Students interacted with grandparents and conduct small game/activity for them. In the view of visit, fruits and ceiling fans were donated.

Department of Computer Engineering in association with association with Pinnacle club and Matoshri ACM Student Chapter, MCERC, Nashik has organized visit to “Balikashram”, Trimbakehswar, Nashik on 19th April 2023. Third year and Final year students were visited the Balsadan. Students interacted with children and staff members of the Balsadan. In the view of visit, grocery and cash amount were donated.
The Pinnacle Club

Goals of Club:
- To provide a forum for students to interact among themselves and the outside world events and bring out the passion in youngsters and develop their organizational skills.
- To bring about a good balance of work, fun and leisure activities and ensure the all round development of students.
Understanding the importance of being proactive, a student's club is established with the name “Pinnacle Club”. This student club was established on an auspicious occasion of “Gudi Padawa” on 4th March 2010. This club serves as a platform for students to showcase their talent and skills. Pinnacle club is of the students, run by the students for the benefits of students. Every Student admitted in second year Computer Engineering becomes a member of Pinnacle club.
Pinnacle club is to motivate students to increase interaction among students for organizing and managing co-curricular and extracurricular events. Various activities run include expert talks, technical events, contests, seminars, workshops, industry visits, social visits, trips and similar. Participation and organization of these events cultivates leadership skills, develops team spirit and co-operative nature through which the students learn many aspects of management that otherwise aren't inherently stimulated within the confines of the classrooms and other academic activities.

Teachers Day Celebration
Teachers Day celebration that was organized by the Pinnacle club members. Mr. Raosaheb Ghuge, CEO of Baaps Company, was the chief guest at the event. He gave a speech that enlightened the minds of the computer engineering aspirants in the audience.
It is wonderful to hear that Mr. Ghuge took the time to speak to these young people. Computer engineering is a challenging but rewarding field, and it is important for students to have role models who can inspire them. Mr. Ghuge's speech helped to motivate the students and prepare them for success in their careers.

Visit to Adhara Ashram
The club members and computer engineering staff of Matoshri College of Engineering and Re search Centre Nashik visited the ‘Adhara Ashram’ at Gharpure ghat Nashik on 2/10/2022 under the guidance of Principal Dr. G.K. Kharate and Vice Principal Dr. V.H. Patil. The storybooks, toys, food packets, and other educational aids were distributed among the children. The members and staff actively participated in games, songs, dances, etc. with the little children.

Workshop “An Overview of Open Source Computer Networking Tools”
The hands-on workshop “An Overview of Open Source Computer Networking Tools” was organized on Dated 27 Dec 2021. The objective of the workshop was to spread awareness of open-source tools that were used for data packet analysis and tracing. The outcome of this workshop is students can efficiently use the Wireshark packet analyzer tool for various protocols.

Industrial Visit at Sahyadri Farms
Department of Computer Engineering of Matoshri College of Engineering and Research center had organized a one day industrial visit to Sahyadri Farms, a Manufacturer wholesaler and exporter of frozen vegetables and fruits. An Indian company owned by a farmer and professionally managed along with best use of technology. The CEO Mr. Vilas Shinde is very visionary, one can compare his growth with Dr. Kurien founder of milk revolution in India. Visiting this company was to focus on studying new venture creation.
